1 introduction

most of the organic volatile compounds (VOCs) contained in solvent based inks are flammable and toxic, which will cause serious pollution to the environment and then endanger human health. Long term inhalation of organic volatiles will lead to fatigue, memory decline and even death. VOC is directly discharged into the atmosphere, which will produce photochemical smog or acid fog under ultraviolet radiation, and some organic volatiles will also cause damage to the atmospheric ozone layer. In order to limit the pollution and harm of VOC in printing inks to the environment, since the 1960s, countries around the world have successively promulgated and implemented relevant laws and regulations, which have made strict regulations on the emission of VOC in printing inks. At the same time, ink scientists and technicians are also constantly developing new inks that contain little or no VOC, meet environmental protection requirements and meet printing suitability, and water-based inks came into being

after decades of development and research, water-based inks have made great progress in performance and application. Water-based inks are mainly water, with non-toxic or low toxic organic solvents as solvents and diluents. They are not only cheap, have good printing adaptability, but also non-toxic, aromatic, safe and environmentally friendly, and are favored by the printing industry. Different water-based inks have different properties and applications due to different main film-forming resins. At present, the main successful applications are Maleic Anhydride Addition rosin resin water-based flexographic ink, acrylic resin flexographic and intaglio water-based ink, water-based soybean oil alkyd resin ink and water-based epoxy resin concave ink for packaging and decoration printing. From the perspective of application, it is difficult to achieve the optimal characterization of the comprehensive performance of the product by using a single variety of main film-forming resin in the formulation structure of water-based ink. Through careful selection of synthetic materials and optimization of the synthetic process, acrylic resin and Maleic Anhydride Addition rosin resin are obtained. In the presence of neutralizer, they form a uniform and stable water-based binder in the water composite solvent system. 2.1 preparation of aqueous composite binder

2.1.3 preparation of aqueous binder

2.1.3.1 main raw materials

acrylic acid copolymerization lotion (self-made), Maleic Anhydride Addition rosin resin (self-made), isopropanol, ethanol, ethylene glycol, ether, monoethanolamine, distilled water

2.1.3.2 process operation

put isopropanol and ethylene glycol ether into a three necked flask, turn on condensation and raise the temperature to 40 ℃, put crushed Maleic Anhydride Addition rosin resin under stirring, raise the temperature to 70 ~ 75 ℃, keep the temperature for 2 hours, after the resin dissolves (transparent in the bottle), put ethanol under 60 ℃, use a dropping funnel to drop acrylic copolymer lotion and monoethanolamine into the bottle at the same time, and the dropping speed is appropriate if there is no condensate in the system; After feeding, keep the system ph=7.5 ~ 8.5, keep the temperature for 1 hour, and the temperature does not exceed 60 ℃.
